There is one sure way to lift our spirits - seeing this little girl. She has bigger things on her mind though.
Her bouncey! But we're making her work for it today.
At last!
Since it is later in the day, she is a little tired. Here is some footage of her fading but trying to keep herself awake.
And the sweetest thing happens at the end of the day (no video, sorry). When Monte is handing baby Nina over to the nurse, Nina kicks and grabs Monte, trying to stay with her. You can see it in Nina's eyes each day, but this is the first time she puts up a fight to stay with Mom. It looks like we're all in this fight together.
My goodness she's come a long way...you can see that, even in the pictures and video!!! You'll have her caught up in no time, once she's HOME! Pete and Gabbie are praying, and can't wait to 'play with her'! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteShe makes my heart smile everytime I see her. It looks like you have a little girl with an agenda, no time for naps, she has things to do and places to be. Don't you know two other little girls like that? Oh my get ready, they are going to be quite a little trio. She knows who her mommy is, she's a lucky little girl! Love you all!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose videos are a tonic to watch! Nina is in a word a little dote (Irish version of sweetheart!!) She makes me smile just to look at her, I can only imagine what it is like to be there. This week has found me thinking back to our time with Orin and what we would have done in your boat (not a positive decision in court right away) a strong fighting maternal instinct comes out fighting in me everytime i 'go there' and I know we would have done the only thing possible - exactly what you are doing - fight for your wee Nina...........whatever way you have to.
ReplyDeleteWe too are parents of bioligical children (1 living child and 1 stillbirth) and our adopted son - Orin. While how Orin came into our lives is different to how our 1st and 2nd child came in our lives the love we feel (and felt from when we bonded with him in Kaz) is as strong and enduring......it is a bond that can never be broken.
Stay strong & true in your quest. We are all keeping you close in thoughts and prayers.
So hoping to see a positive update tomorrow.

If only the judge could see through unbiased eyes that final video clip, she would know that Nina already knows who her mommy is. That is precious! You are in our prayers for a speedy and just decision. May God grant your petition favor in the judge's eyes in the coming hours that what we know to be true can be official!
ReplyDeleteIsaiah 43:5-6
ReplyDeleteDo not be afraid for I am with you I will bring your children from the East
and gather you from the west. I will say to the North "Give them up!"
and to the South "Do not hold them back"
Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the Earth.
This verse has been in my head today as I prayed for you. DO NOT BE AFRAID! We are believing with you that God is going to speak to those officials, "GIVE HER UP, she is going HOME!" Holding you close in our hearts and prayers.
